UziQ 375 Injection is a combination of Ceftriaxone + Sulbactam that belong to the class of medication called ‘antibiotics’ used in the treatment of bacterial infections. The growth of dangerous bacteria on the body or inside it results in bacterial illnesses. Toxins, which are substances produced by these hazardous bacteria, can injure tissue and make you ill. Depending on the organ the bacteria have infected, bacterial infections have different symptoms. A cephalosporin antibiotic is ceftriaxone. It acts bactericidal (kills bacteria). It functions by blocking protein synthesis, which prevents the production of the cell wall—the outer protective coat of bacteria that is necessary for its survival. Beta-lactamase is inhibited by sulbactam. A bacterial enzyme called beta-lactamase is capable of destroying antibiotics (ceftriaxone).

Uses of Ceftriaxone 250 mg + Sulbactam 125mg Injection

Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor, whereas Ceftriaxone is a cephalosporin antibiotic. Broad-spectrum activity and efficiency make it effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It makes the medication effective in treating a variety of serious bacterial infections, such as those that affect the bloodstream (septicemia), bones (osteomyelitis), heart valves (endocarditis), membranes encasing the brain (meningitis), acute bacterial otitis media (middle ear infection), and the lining of the abdomen (peritonitis), as well as infections that develop as a result of surgery.
