Amoxicillin/clavulanic tablet is a combination of penicillin-type antibiotics used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic is only beneficial for bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections such as the common cold, or flu. Using any antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections.

  • Before using this medication, tell the doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: liver disease, kidney disease, or a certain type of viral infection (infectious mononucleosis).
